Empty Products - Face

Image
Last week turned out to be busier than I expected, which is why I didn't manage to upload the last "empties" post. But now I am back with the face category. I threw away the Catrice Camouflage concealer because it was in the empties before pretty often, but I can say that it is one of the best drugstore concealers, sold at a good price. It does cover up some spots and redness as well as light undereye circles, but it could still be better. FACE CLEANSERS One of the best make-up removers I have tried in the last few months is the Garnier Skin Active micellar water, which consists of two "layers"- the micellar water and the oil, which makes it easier tot ake off waterproof make-up. I have tried all the other Garnier micellar waters before but unfortunately, they leave behind the worst smell on my skin, which I already mentioned in this post . When I found this one, I was so happy because it actually has a beautiful scent. It takes off my make-up prett

Empty Products - Body

After summing up the empty hair products, let's move over to the body stuff. There are again three subcategories and hopefully you'll find some helpful information. :) OTHER It's weird to start the post with the "other" products but I actually think that these two are the ones that might need more of a review than a shower gel. The first product I'll write about is the Sugar Crush Body Scrub by Soap and Glory and it is my absolute favourite! I can't even tell how much I loved this product and I remember when I got it, I was still in Scotland and then I was using it here in the old flat too and now in my new flat as well, so it really shows how much I used and loved it throughout this long time. I am a rather lazy person when it comes to skincare but since I have really dry skin all the time, I just need to use some scrub in the shower once in a few days to keep my skin looking somewhat similar to normal. This scrub has the most amazing, fresh

Empty Products - Hair

Today I want to start a short series of "Empties" as I have hoarded quite a lot of them now and even threw some away like my shampoo, which is still the same and has always been in my Empties before. Today's post will be about all the hair products I've used up over the last few months and the next days you will see empties from different categories like face and body products and make-up. CONDITIONERS The only two conditioners I have used up over the last few months are the L'Oreal Clay Conditioner and a keratin one by the Polish brand Joanna that I picked up when I ran out of conditioner when I visited Eryk back in September/October. Starting off with the clay conditioner by L'Oreal I have to say that it made my hair silky smooth and shiny and this was even the second one I got because I loved it so much. I was really impressed because usually my hair is kind of rough, it's never really smooth and it has never been but this conditioner re

Clarins Supra Volume Mascara & Instant Liner

Image
Thanks to Douglas Austria, some months ago I got a new mascara and eyeliner from Clarins to try out and I was really excited. Although I had a mascara and eyeliner that I really liked at that point, I still wanted to give this set a try. The first thing that has to be said about these two products is: how beautiful are they??? I absolutely love the black and gold combo of the packaging. It looks so luxurious and it definitely is pretty to keep on display. The mascara has a thin, non-silicone wand, which brushes through my lashes very easily, applying a perfect amount of mascara. The lashes don't clump, they really get beautifully separated, they are voluminous and definitely much longer. And even after using this mascara for a few weeks, the consistency is still amazing, it hasn't dried out yet and works very well on my lashes. The eyeliner was a little bit difficult to get used to, as I only use gel liner and felt tip liners have always been a nightmare for me, s

Our Skiing Holiday

Image
My uni holidays have started and I still didn't manage to blog because we went on a skiing holiday with my family and only came back yesterday. We went to Poland, near the Slovakian border and it was seriously in the middle of nowhere. Still, it was relaxing and so much fun. It was also Eryk's and mine first winter holiday together and we also had our 5th anniversary during that time, so it was pretty cool! Here are some photos of the trip- hope you like them :) Obviously, a skiing holiday meant a lot of snow and freezing temperatures, and although I was really scared of that, it wasn't that bad in the end. We went on a walk in the woods here and at some point I fell into the snow so deep that it went into my shoes and my feet were so sore from the cold. I had to take off my shoes and socks and get all the snow out. That part wasn't too cool, but I survived it. On the first evening and the second day we went to Zakopane, which is a well-known skiing area in P

My Current Playlist

Image
Today I wanted to share something different with you, something that is a big part of my life: Music. I know that I've been singing from the time I could talk and back then, when I was little, Sarah Connor was my absolute favourite singer. Later on I was singing in a choir for ages and now I do miss it quite a lot at times. Since times have changed and I no longer listen to Sarah Connor, I wanted to share my current playlist with you and I hope you will enjoy this blog post. I have quite a few playlists on my Youtube account, but there is a particular one I turn on every day. And I also have to say that I don't listen to all the songs daily, but I want to share the songs that are my favourites at the moment. Let's start with my current favourite singer - Florence Welch . I think I started listening to her when I was 14 or maybe even younger, I know all the songs by heart and wish I had that dreamy voice too. From her last album, The Odyssey, I especially lik

Tea Time And Sunshine

Image
After my exam this morning I hurried back home to enjoy a hot cup of tea and some delicious Golden Syrup cake that we bought yesterday in Bobby's Foodstore. This place is a dream for all the people that miss the UK. Today even the sun came out, so now I'm sitting on my sofa, all cosy and warm, enjoying some warm sunrays and of course, my favourite Earl Grey tea and a few slices of the golden syrup cake, that I used to buy nearly every day back in Edinburgh. Later on I have to go back to uni one more time and then I'll be studying in the evening for tomorrow's exam. my current favourite jumper is this grey, oversized one from H&M - I pretty much live in it and I am not even lying. my jeans are from Bershka Hope you're all having a nice day too! :) -Olivia ~26.01.2017~

A Walk Around Vienna

Image
Hello everyone! I am back with a new blog post after three weeks of not uploading anything. This is crazy and I feel so bad about it but work, uni and my 2 exam weeks really robbed all my free time this month. I am quite sad because since my vlogging camera broke, I thought I would blog more, but so far it didn't go as planned. So far I had five exams and there are three more to go until the end of this semester. Today I had a day without any exams, so I really need to study, but we also decided to go and explore Vienna a little bit for a few hours, so that I can also just take a break from studying like crazy. Recently I found out that there is a shop in Vienna that sells British food and I was like : OMG, I SO have to go there! And I thought today was a good day to drag Eryk to that shop. It is actually quite far from where I live and it was freezing so we nearly had a mental breakdown before arriving at the shop, but in the end we made it and we were really happy. That shop

Best Of 2016 : Beauty ( Garnier, Ziaja, Rimmel, Manhattan, Golden Rose)

Happy New Year from Me and Maya! I hope you all had a great start into the new year! I was just relaxing, studying and working two days so far, so I guess my start wasn't too bad. However, on New Year's Eve my camera broke, which doesn't make me happy because I can't vlog at all, but therefore I decided to try and blog more instead. Since today is a holiday, I have enough time to blog and study, and I decided it would be nice to have a look at a few things that I absolutely loved using throughout the last year. Starting off with skincare, I discovered two amazing products, that are also very affordable, so totally worth trying out. I was looking for a micellar water that would work just as good as the famous Bioderma one ( which I love), and everybody here will know the best (?) dupe for it- the Garnier micellar water that comes in the bottle with a pink cap. Yes, I also tried it and I like that it removes make-up quick and easy but the smell th
